About the Artist. Lina Abi-Samra fled the war in Lebanon and found a home in the U.S. but her journey didn't end there. As she grieved the loss of her home in Lebanon but looked forward to her future, the process of creating and self-expression became a part of her healing. She enjoys using patterns and complex designs to express joy, belonging, and the many difficult yet wonderful paths of this life. Art continues to be a life giving outlet for her as she copes with the current pandemic, devastating realities in Lebanon, and an uncertain future for the U.S. She is also sharing her hope with Syrian refugees that have a similar story.
We’ve curated a small collection of Lina's art for our Holiday Market. Every purchase not only supports her as she serves newcomers to San Diego but it also supports ongoing relief efforts in Lebanon where we are partnering with NGO’s to provide humanitarian aid. Thank you for bearing with us as this is our first online market and the platform we’re using is limited. (For instance, the art thumbnails are not true to size or shape so please pay close attention to the dimensions when you're ordering.)
