Our goal at Art Inspiring Change is to allow artists to express concepts and ideas regarding social change through their art. As a photographic artist, I have worked on this project for several years in hopes it will educate and change the cultural climate regarding our acceptance of violence against women in any form, be it verbal, emotional, psychological or physical. This project, Healing the Damaged Soul, and now the Exposing Scars Exhibit, speaks to the viewer regarding the internal damage created by all forms of violence towards an individual. My goal is to open the public's eyes to the long term and inner damage caused by any type of abuse.
